Le Helas Izella is a tranquil hamlet in the hills above Huelgoat, but is only a 10 minute drive from this attractive little town with its lakeside creperies, and market square full of shops - boulangeries, charcuterie, tea shops, restaurants, bars, food shops etc.
There are beautiful walks in the famous woods of the area characterized by huge granite boulders, tumbling streams and Breton Legend.
All outdoor pursuits are catered for, including swimming, horseriding, fishing, cycling (just below Le Helas a disused railway line has been turned into a cycle/walking track and this runs for 30 miles south of Morlaix.) and golf at nearby Poullaouen.North, west and south coasts and its offshore islands are all within easy driving distance including the Crozen peninsular, a favourite for bird watchers, as well as the breathtaking coastal scenery and beaches.
There is ample parking shared between the two properties and secure bicycle storage.
Being centrally placed in Finistère, all coasts are within about an hours driving distance. They are among the most beautiful, with tremendous unspoilt beaches and hundreds of islands, which make wonderful day trips. The most convenient port is Roscoff.
